Our Fabrication Processes
1. Detailing
Based on your design, we pepare the shop fabrication drawings and layouts for hoppers, bins & silos.
2. Procurement
Sourcing materials from reliable supply sources, matching Mill Test Certificates and tracking.
3. Fabrication
Various shop fabrication processes like layout generation, cutting, grinding, bends, edge preparation etc.
4. Assembly
Fabricated parts are fitup and assembled for welding in a phased manner for welding commencement.
5. Welding
Strict conformity to WPS / PQR. Use of reliable experienced welders to produce sound weld joints.
6. Testing & NDT
As per project ITP, stagewise inspection, DP, MPT, UT, RT, Dimensional Inspection Tests etc. are performed.
7. Coatings
Blasting & Painting of Steel Hoppers, Bins, & Silos as per NACE / SSPC. Passivation and/or Pickling for SS items.
8. Delivery
Loading & shipment to client on third party transport, or loading in client arranged transport vehicles.
Shapes & Parameters
Concentric/Eccentric: Silos are usually concentric but their discarges may be concentric/eccentric, while hoppers and bins can be made as Concentric or Eccentric or as partial eccentric models.
Customization: The Hoppers, Bins, and Silos can be highly customized for their sizes, nozzle orientations, sections used, transition shaped and various other parameters, depending on your needs.
Fixed/Mobile: Hoppers and skip bins can be vehicle mounted models, and sometimes for industrial applications these can be trolley mounted too.
Typical Specifications
Materials: A variety of carbon steels and stainless steels grades can be used in fabrication. Usual grades are mild steel, A36, SA516, SS304, SS304L, SS316, and SS 316L.
Applications: Hoppers are usually used to handle discharges, bins are primary for temporary/intermittent storage, skip bins for waste and scrap, silos for storage and process applications.
Media / Fluid Types: Can handle various media and fluids like pellets, lumpy materials, crude, fuel, oil, chemicals, water etc. or even solids.
